Building Design
What Is a Building Design?
A building design refers to the broadly based engineering, technical, and architectural applications to the design of the building. All building projects will require the services of a building designer. An architect can coordinate these different specialties.
In many places, the legislation and building codes allow people to design single-family buildings or light commercial buildings without being an architect. A building designer is common in the United States and Canada and will offer design services but they will not be a licensed architect. Many building designers can focus on residential design and remodeling but some do focus on commercial as well. Building designers are familiar with all facets of building trade and the designs represent the particular needs and budget of a client.
